I've produced a date parser/formatter which does not depend on the javaMail API and offers more options while having almost the same benchmarks of the javax.mail.internet.MailDateFormat class which James uses to handle RFC822 formatted dates. I would like to contribute it to the James project.
My class follows the RFC733, RFC822 and IETF Internet Message Format Memo (JavaMail only supports the last one) and supports both lenient and non-lenient date parsing. At the moment the class is bundled with a more general library , but if it is of any interest to project I can easily detach it from the rest. You can find more info here : http://battlehorse.homelinux.net/JSPWiki/Wiki.jsp?page=DateFormat while the source code is here : http://battlehorse.homelinux.net:8080/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/Fiber/src/it/battlehorse/net/RFC822DateFormat.java Please tell me if my work can be of any help to you. Best regards and my compliments for your work on the James project, Riccardo Govoni --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
