I think that there would be thread pools management at least for
RemoteDelivery, don't we?

Are you thinking to ActiveMQ as an alternative to
spoolrepositories/spoolmanager/processors or the
JamesSpoolManager/LinearProcessor should be translated in a ActiveMQ
specific broker?

Do you know if ActiveMQ queues provides services needed by the
RemoteDelivery's "outgoing" spool like accepting messages with no errors or
with a given formula between the last attempt time and the retry count?
