:-)  Mistake was the first command.  SVN cp is just like *nix cp.  You
didn't need to create a branch.  You just needed to copy trunk to be a
branch.  Copy the directory, not its contents.  That is why you kept getting
trunk as a child.

If I were you, I suspect that I'd eliminate proposals, and merge the code
into your main build structure, just like a "normal" JAMES build.
