Hi Kevin,

This was the case when I looked at this in November. All
I tried to do was get this thing to build and work with the
memory store. I couldn't get past configuration incompatibilities
between the trunk and the IMAP proposal, but I didn't try
very hard.

If anyone's interested, I zipped up my tree and put it here:

The Eclipse workspace is in james0/trunk. I merged the IMAP code
with the main codebase (which is now almost six months stale). All I
remember is this built without errors, but choked and died when I tried
to use it. I haven't looked at this since. Let the buyer beware: whatever
hacking attempts I made might lead you more astray than be of real help.

Did you finish the interface part (without the implementation)?
If so, is it backwards compatible with the trunk code?

For Christmas, it would be nice to get a sort of James for Hackers
Guide. The activation energy of trying to figure out all of the
Avalon machnery (plus the things that changed) was too daunting
for me for the little time I had at the moment.
