I disagree. We document this as INTERNAL ONLY, we do NOT encourage people
to write new ones, and warn them that the API will change, we get the
product shipping, and THEN we clean up the API. Unless there is something
in the current API that blocks OUR ability to ship a release.
When we provide the API for external use, we will also want to add a loader
so that people can register handler packages.

Same as above. I agree with wanting to add functionality, but we first need
to consolidate what we have, and get a solid release out, and THEN add
features.
