it is ready and it is simple. It is Sun specific, but: "Does James works
with non SUN jvm?". I remember I tested James with an IBM jvm when I
first used James 2-3 years ago and it was not running (don't remember
why, never tested it again).
3) Define where to add the
"java.security.Security.setProperty("networkaddress.cache.ttl" , "0");"
apply it to trunk and backport it (if you vote this please tell your
preferences about the place to add this code).

I like this fix but the sun specific fix is the less intrusive option.
