P.S. I'm happy to support a fully normalised data model, but I would
suggest that if we're going to do that we should make (document) a
logical model first. There are some de-normalisations which can also
reap benefits, such as removing LOB's (CLOB's and BLOB's) to a
separate table but as they may only be appropriate for some rdbms's an
logical model would allow us to support differing implementations.
