i think that now is a good time to move IMAP development from the sandbox
into trunk. for a while (whilst i port pheonix bindings and create
implementation independent functional test suites) there will be parallel
implementations differing only in their factoring (the code has been moved
around on the branch). i hope people will agreed that this won't be too high
a price to pay. i need to start modifying the code on trunk so having
everything in one place will make my job easier.

i'll take a tag and finish off the work on mordred before moving the code
