I didn't have the time/will to look/understand if the MailAddress changes
add backward incompatibilities or not:

IMHO parsing in MailAddress was a mistake. by bringing the parsing
code into line with the specification, there is a chance that some
mailets that rely on bugs in the older code will break. however, on
balance i think that this is a risk worth taking.
