Robert Burrell Donkin commented on MIME4J-5:
--------------------------------------------
1 to my knowledge, not actively. i have some medium term design ideas but i'd
be happy to see a solution in place and then discuss improvements if they're
needed
2 i'll contact jochen directly. he promised that he'd get the stuff in that he
needed for fileupload a couple of weeks ago. jochen's great but has too many
projects and too little time. as far as the cursor stuff goes, feel free to
modify or revert (jochen feels it gets in the way). performant nio can be
introduced later.
3 yes (in principle). need a clear audit trail (in practice) but that's not a
blocker
> Mime4j takes really long to parse big messages

> Mime4j has general demonstrable performance problems:

> I'd suggest a general code review for the "byte at a time + buffered input
> stream" anti-pattern
> and general refactoring to do things in blocks where possible.
