About newline conversion please join the thread on the mailing list: I think
this deserve a bit of care or we'll have to reiterate it multiple times.
About closing this I'll do as soon as I'll close the other bugs. For the moment
I'll mark this as assigned to me and in progress, so you can recognize it.
