Ok, I see a flaw in my logic now. There is no way to correctly differentiate 
CR, LF, CRLF without a possibility to unread one character back to the 
underlying input stream. 

Now I am more convinced more than ever isolated CR should be just ignored. 

So, the code is all yours now.
