I built it on windows and the results are almost the same. The only issues I found are: 1) stage/jars/activation should not be there. We already have 1.1.1 in javax.activation. 2) In the jar only distribution currently we use the complete NOTICE/LICENSE with references to junit, bnd, javax licenses. In jsieve and mime4j we preferred to include a basic LICENSE/NOTICE with only ASF/ALv2 stuff. 3) We could add javamail poms to rat excludes for m2 pom: <exclude>stage/javax.activation/poms/activation-1.1.1.pom</exclude> <exclude>stage/javax.mail/poms/mail-1.4.1.pom</exclude> I don't want to rediscuss this old issue. This is pretty the same of what we had in jsieve. In jsieve we removed the poms (I'm not suggesting this is the right approach, just describing the past). None of them is blocking for a release.
