Hi Norman

Just to give you some background info first.

SMTP and mail related stuff was off my priority list in the past 6 to 8
months. I have been spending a lot of effort trying to get HttpCore 4.1
and HttpClient 4.1 closer to a GA release, while still remaining a good
daddy to a wonderful 6 months old baby-girl.

Having said that, I intend to back to active development of mime4j and
lightmtp as soon as I manage to get HC 4.1 GA pushed out.

Meanwhile, I was also trying to get lightnio code or design concepts
absorbed by MINA in one way or another [1]. This is another reason why I
did not want to rush lightnio / lightmtp releases

Finally, answering your question, there has been no binary release of
lightmtp yet. The code should be in a fairly releasable form, though,
and it is a matter of just making a release tag, building the packages
and finding a Maven repository to publish the jars to. Provided
everything goes as planned (which rarely does) I would like to have a
formal release of lightntp in Q1 2011.

I'll happily grant you access rights to the repository in case you want
to make use of the code in one way or another.

Oleg
