Good to have an up-to-date site.vm. I also saw it was quite divergent
from the current maven ones, but was too 'lazy' to do the job...
Did you find a good way to inject jquery scripts (in template, and in
page) ?
About the markers for external links, I'm fine for real external links,
but I find the ones in the menu and the "download" button a bit too
much (but still fine to me).

IMO the template (site.vm) is not up to date (comparing with the

site.vm suggested to take as template [1]). Apart from some small
additions
it is almost in it's initial state dating of 2007.
To which project (Jira) can I provide patches to make it up to date?
