Are you sure there exists such a tag "<script>" already in the page the
javascripts runs in? I haven't found the page (url) in question, the
only url I found is
"http://james.apache.org/download.cgi#Apache_James_Server;";. But this is
probably not the right page as I can't find the function [3] mentioned
in the jira issue.
Any hints for the url?

You need to look at the generated download.html page.
If you go to the published web site, you can't find it because I removed it.
