Hi Ioan,
About the compatibilities, we have to document against which API version our
implementation is done.
About *-site.xml, james is client of hbase, so it should have its own
configuration. For now, there is an empty hbase-site-template.xml, up-to the
server administrator to configure this (to be documented, sure).
