Hi,
As documented here: http://hbase.apache.org/book.html#quickstart
HBase < 0.94 has issues on Debian based distribution. The server tries to
listen on 127.0.1.1 but the client connects on 127.0.0.1.
I propose to migrate to 0.94.27 version.
