This migration can be split into several substeps:
- Merge the java-6 and java-8 compilation Dockerfiles (and adapt CI)
- Upgrade targetted JDK and correct problems
- Simplify Java-8 poms (remove profiles)
- Upgrade dependencies that were wanted but not doable in java-6 (camel,
Artemis, activeMQ, etc...)
- Limit the usage of Guava (FluentIterables and the like, Optional, Objects,
etc...) and replace it with Java-8 classes
- Apply automatic IntelliJ refactoring to migrate to Java-8
