Hello Benoit,
Thank you for the initiative on this, it's really needed.
Happy to help on this as well.
I did create a JIRA hoping it's easier to keep track of what's going on
and what's left for the community on this topic overall:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JAMES-4220
I think I got all the PRs opened regarding this, feel free to add if I
forgot some.
Also quick thinking:
- can we rework the migration release notes? I noticed people regularly
complain on having a hard time upgrading from one version of james to an
other as we put all migrations instructions in one file for each flavor
of james (distributed, postgres, memory, etc). Having subsections with
proper instructions per James flavor would make things easier for the
community in general to upgrade between versions.
Thoughts?
Rene.

Hello all,
I propose myself over the coming month(s) to finalize the move to Antora for
the documentation website.
That long overdue job will, I hope clarify how to use our project and make
James more attractive.
Here is the succession of steps I have in mind and what it can look like:
- Move community section in James site - that deserves to be at the root of
our website - James site should explain in its landing page the different
components (server, mime4j, JSPF, etc)
- Finish ANTORA migration for other components (JSPF, JDKIM, JSIEIEVE,
MIME4J...)
- Document each (major) server in james-project/servers/apps
We can likely do lighter for variations.
JPA would likely deserves a doc (mentionning a @Deprecated - favor PG app)
I also propose a clear doc for PGSQL
- Document in servers a migration guide using imapsync
- Likely improving slightly the theme
I have close to zero graphic skills... Opinions welcome.
- Remove irrelevant pages:
- Move user model in community
- Remove the rest of concepts
- Instead link a good page about mail concepts
- Remove undocumented / unexisting server sections
