hi I'm testing a slightly modified ejabberd 2.0.1 for OLPC, and am seeing quite high memory use -- a 1GB machine is unreliable beyond 2000 connections. There are pictures here:
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Ejabberd_resource_tests#Try_4:_a_few_thousand_users OLPC's XO laptops use (old style) SSL connections, and these results are in the same order of magnitude that Sean Dilda reported in May: http://lists.jabber.ru/pipermail/ejabberd/2008-May/003676.html > For 2,000 SSL connections it'll take around 1GB of RAM. For 2,000 > plaintext connections, it'll take around 150MB. I'm seeing similar > results for the old port 5223 tls and using starttls on port 5222. Does anyone have any tips, patches, or configuration options that might help? regards, Douglas Bagnall _______________________________________________ Server-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/server-devel
