Martin, We have tried everything given there, and can happily add and remove Course Creators.
But none of them can edit the Front Page because "turn editing on" does not appear. We only have one half day left so unless we fix this we will revert to plan B completely rebuild the servers - frustrating. We also tried changing Front Page roles, to add the Course Creators within that context. But to no avail. Any idea where the config for editing of front page is located?
