I spent the whole morning chasing down this bug. When I include version 1.5 of commons-digester.jar in my SAR, I get this error (plus a stack trace):

   Bad specification version format '"1.5"' in
   'org.apache.commons.digester'. (Reason:
   java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: ""1")

I can send the whole stack trace to whoever's interested. If I unjar commons-digester, rejar it, and deploy it in my SAR, everything's OK. I'm using Sun's j2sdk 1.4.2 on RedHat linux 8.0 (with latest updates).
