Hi Tom,

I am very new to James so it seems odd to be answering a James question. Heck, I don't even have James working correctly. Of course that may be why I saw the answer to your question.

To set up aliases as you described:

Log into the Remote Manager

use telnet at a command prompt on Windows or Linux and type:
telnet tomholmes.net 4555
If you haven't changed that configuration or type:
telnet localhost 4555
If you are on the machine that has James installed on it.

login ID is root and Password is root if you haven't changed them in the config.xml

Once you are logged in, create a user name for the address that you would like to use as an alias. [EMAIL PROTECTED] by typing:
adduser tj password

Use the setalias command to associate tj with tom. Type in:
setalias tj tom

Repeat for other aliases.

Type:
quit
To quit and exit telnet.

Having read a number of months of posts looking for answers to my own problems I think that Noel may be forgiven for misunderstanding. People are constantly asking How to set up virtual hosting so that they can have [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] go to different users. And the answer to that is in the FAQ.

Take care,
Clive
