Hi all,
Does any body has statistics of James. I need to develop a capacity
plan and really I don't have James installed.

My request will be: 2000 emails/day; 1Mb (binary prior base64 encoded)
attachment average per each email; 1000 email accounts; storage 100%
Oracle DB; SSL/authentication required ( will be an extra-net where
clients will have account to interchange files, not to send/receive
general purpose emails).

I need to know:
How many simultaneous connections James support: POP3 & SMTP
        Throughput capacity
        Memory requirement

I believe that James will be in a Sun box.

Thanks in advance
Manuel Soto

This page from your wiki might be a good start:

Throughput and connections aren't likely going to be an issue. Using the database with that size messages might cause a problem, but otherwise what you're talking about is well, well within the operating parameters of James.
