Guys,

I have a *little* insight into this since taking up my *new**job* ;-)

We use Oracle, oc4j from 9iAS is stuck on 1.3 and although we don't use
James we are stuck on 1.3 because of the oracle thing.

I've been undecided about the jvm issue before, but I'm now tending towards
thinking that the longer we can avoid using 1.4 the better it is for uptake
by large slow moving ICT places where the decision to use 1.4 in a server
environment may be more involved (even political) that it perhaps should
be.
