James,

Others on this list will likely give you a more informed response but,
here's my 0.02$ worth:

I would think that it would be easier to "reconfigure" your email client
than James all the time.

What I did was write a Python script that ran at startup (before anything
else), if a certain server was found (tailored to which IPs would be
available when), then it would update the Windows registry to set the right
SMTP server. It would also change my default printer, so it had multiple
uses.

I use Outlook, so it may be harder to change your client settings, but I'd
recommend that approach if it's available.

Plus, I'd think that some internal mail servers might not want to act as a
gateway or relay for your system.

Subject: Question...

Can I tell James to "forward" to different mail servers if it "detects" that
it's inside a certain network (like one of my client locations)? Most of my
clients do not allow me to use James on my local laptop to send emails
outside their network and I have to use one of their mail servers. But, I
hate having to reconfigure my mail client wherever I go.
