Just to respond... basically, I've got nothing for you.

I'm not aware of anyone using 1000+ domains.  I would expect you'd want
to externalize that, either to a separate file or database query or
something.  You might want to look through the code a bit as I would
expect you could change how the servernames are loaded without too much
help.
