Info about the JVM: We're using the Java HotSpot server VM version 1.4.2_02. We haven't tweaked any of its settings beyond the defaults. Any setting you'd recommend?
It also seems that each connection made to port 25 results in a corresponding thread running at high CPU usage (two connections firing large messages results in two threads around 40% cpu).
