openwebmail for James

Hello, I'm trying to configure Openwebmail in a Red Hat 9 linux, (with
Apache web server and James mail server). But in the .conf help only explain
the smtp sendmail configuration, it seems that the only smtp that works with
openwebmail is sendmail. Anyone has experience with openwebmail and James?
Any other webmail that works fine.
