Probably not. Is there a reason that you are still using Blackdown, instead
of a supported linux JVM from IBM, BEA or Sun? Blackdown hasn't been
necessary on x86 linux for years and, as noted in their documentation,
"Blackdown Java on Linux has had its share of gotchyas", especially with
regard to threading.
