He means *two* CRLF's i.e. a blank line.

Thanks Noel and Danny. What threw me was that it got "fixed" by another MTA.

I don't want to flood you with unnecessary messages, but I thought that 
for once I would like to thank you (and all others, you know who you 
are) for all the work you put into James and all the great help you give 
on the mailing list.
