Hi Marcel,

I have the same problem. But I don't think it's a parameter that can be changed. There
should be no delay other than the time needed to deliver the mail. It's most probably
a configuration issue. I used James 2.1.3 and didn't have this problem. After
upgrading to James 2.2.0, I started to see this behaviour.

I haven't had enough time yet to figure it out, but I hope that someone can give me
some hints about where to look. I suspect some network timeouts to slow everything
down so dramatically. I though it had to do with the automatic DNS detection, but I've
turned that off and it didn't help.

Any help appreciated.

Christian

Hmm, this is such a basic feature that i believe it is adjustable,

Can anybody on this list give me a hint in which java files i need to search
for this setting? Which part in james is doing the mail shuffling from spool to <user>?

thanks

Marcel
