How to find ClassNotFoundException in James log file

I'm writing a custom mailet and put the jar into the james.sar's lib 
folder.  The custom mailet has a dependency on another jar.  Initially, 
I forgot to include the dependency jar file.  It took me 5 hours to 
figure this out, since when james runs, from the console, it does not 
tell me anything.  Could you tell me what log file reports this 
(ClassNofFoundException) and what do I have to do to configure it?
