Well, I was thinking to use File Repository for news, not for mail. So as days pass the number of files will increase a lot. With mail, when a client read it usually it is cleaned. But with news.....

I understand there should be some reasons why the Database Repository was developed.

Thanks for any comment,

   Chemi.

We have always used file repositories. It has the advantage that you can
easily inspect a queue and manually delete files from it. So far, it has
not been a performance bottleneck.

I have never tried a database repository, so I don't know how it
compares. I am also quite curious to hear more on the subject.

Subject: File Repositories vs. Database (JDBC) Repositories

Is there any doc discussing the subject? Any comment from yur experience? Note: I am thinking to use just NNTP service.
Browsing the web I just found this page: http://james.apache.org/repositories_2_1.html where really it is not discussed in much detail.

Any comment will be appreciated,

    Chemi.
