I've been really happy with James as my personal mail server, and have convinced my management to use it for one of our internal mail servers...
I'd like to change my logging target to go to a database instead of a files.
It seems that this should be possible, but I'm having trouble finding the right documentation for the version of Avalon that we're using.
I'm using James v2.2.0, with MySQL 4.0.18 (I had connectivity troubles with v4.1.7 :<).
Can someone point me to the right documentation to setup the environment.xml properly?
You'd have to build your own logger to send to a different target. We're using an Avalon logging framework, which doesn't have robust target support like other logging frameworks (like log4j most notably).
