We're just beginning to debate this, but rest assured that the demise of
Avalon is not going to damage James, and in fact in the long term it may do
us some good.
We haven't made any plans yet, but we will be doind so fairly soon.
James developers tend to be pretty busy, and luckily James tends to be
pretty stable, so we don't always react very quickly but we care about
James and James' users and we tend to get there in the end.

Hi,
I used to follow James development a year back. Now with
Apache
Avalon being discontinued (James is based on top of it) what are the
plans for James going forward? I have strong interest in a Java-based
IMAP server. I have searched high and low for over a year now but there
aren't any. Have you guys made any progress on this front? Can someone
give me a heads up on where James is going past 2.2.0?
Thanks,
Gili
