Hmm..Is there a master list maintained of email addresses used to post to list-servs? If such a list does not exist, how can an autoresponder know for certain that it isn't posting to a list? And if such a list did exist, how could you keep it from being a list of spam targets?

One thing that has cropped up lately though is the need for some sort of automated response that can be sent to people in the event that a particular person is on holiday at the time. I would like to avoid using the actual email client, since that would require the users PC to be left on while they are away. Does anyone know of any system, perhaps web based, that can be configured by the user to send an automated message back of their choosing. I also realise that this should ideally not reply to distribution lists. Please can I have a few recommendations, there must be something out there. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
