I've been at this for a bit. When dowloading james and runing build.bat it immediately fails. At one point I made the necessary changes to compile but that's probably not what most people want. I've followed the straightforward instructions on building james. Below are the compilation errors. Is there a config checklist or things to do prior to building James for the first time?
You need to download javamail and name the jar mail-1.3.1.jar and put it in the lib directory, and download activation.jar and put that in there as well.
