Ok, just backported to java 1.3.x (and because of that removed the "connectionTimeoutMilli" support - not so important though).
BTW, this java 1.3.x suport is becoming a pain in/on the a... neck :-). We should address this some day again.
Absolutely. I'd like to move in the not too distant future to 1.4/5 support, although it would be good to keep it optional where possible. For example, the 1.4/5 support I have in mind would effect the protocol handlers, for which we already have 1.3 compatible code.
I was thinking we could drop 1.3 support if/when we get James 3.0/NG. Also, I think it would be good to get 1.5 support for both 2.x as well as the new version (usually new keywords are the stumbling block I've come across).
