Thanks for the answers. A JAR file will do the job, but the client is insisting on WAR file. Is it absolutely not possible to deploy WAR file on James. I could not find any article in the web stating authoritatively on this issue that WAR file cannot be used for deployment in James. So can I take it that WAR file deployment is not feasible in James and a SAR file is the only option left.
Can you ask the client why he/she insists on using a "web archive" file for a mail server. I don't quite get the insistance of the file extension for what is otherwise an identical file.
