I think it is just a matter of setting the right DNS servers. I have sent mail successfully by using James.

I believe the problem lies within the smtp configuration in the config file. As it comes from the box, james does not allow itself to be used as an open chain for emails, I believe. The error code I eventually dug up seemed to indicate that james was not willing to forward the email on through to other domains. I played with setting the smtp to allow mail to go to that domain, that did not seem to work, so what I am going to try next is to put 'require authentication' in smtp, and remove any server/domain information from smtp.
From what I can tell, this should allow james to forward any mail the user
wants to send out, as long as that user uses a valid username and password when sending the mail. I will then update my 'account' in outlook to say that smtp requires authentication. I think this will allow james to forward the mail without becoming an open gateway, because only users with valid user names and password will be able to send OUT through james.
Anyway, that's what I am going to try next. Let me know how you make out, and I will do the same. I'm on another site right now, so i won't be able to try until about 10 hours from now.

Hi all,
Is it possible to send email to user on (e.g) yahoo.com using account on JAMES server? I have tried changing settings in config.xml, when i send the email i receive no error message but i also receive no email on my yahoo account.
