SpamAssassin

Looking for a bit of help. I've looked in Wiki's and listservers, but 
can't seem to find the most obvious question. How does SpamAssassin 
connect to JAMES? Both are Apache projects, but I haven't found anything 
that specifically tells me how they interact and are used together. They 
tell you how other applications are used, but not specifically James.. 
maybe I need to know more of the internals of James ...
