Danny, thanks for the suggestion. But I still would
like to understand why James does not process mail
when I move the unprocessed mail from the "myqueue" to
the spool queue. According to the docs it should. 
Btw, I am using James 2.2.0

How can I (re-)process emails that are in the error
processor? 

If you are using a file store, you can simply move the
file-pairs from one directory to the other, e.g., move
them from the errors directory to the spool directory,
and restart James. If this was a DB, you could just do
an update statement on the repository_name.
