Sounds like a problem with the computer not even getting the emails in the first place, not James' fault.
Let's try this: 1. Shut down every firewall. That includes Norton IS, plus whatever router firewall you may have in place (based on your statement "forwarding ports", I'm inferring that you have a router). LMK if I'm wrong. 2. Make sure the Windows firewall is down. Go to Control Panel, Firewall/Internet Settings (don't remember the exact name), and make sure that the Windows firewall is NOT in play. 3. Try emailing again. If that doesn't work: 1. Start from the bottom. Is James installed appropriately? Try sending an email to James using the same computer. Eg, can James receive an email sent via the loopback address, so we don't have to worry about the Network? To do this, open up Outlook Express (You should have a copy of Outlook Express on your Windows machine. Perhaps even Outlook. If you don't, then download a copy of Eudora Lite (http://www.eudora.com/download/). I'm going to assume you have Express. Reply if you need help on this. Open up Express. Go to Tools>Accounts>Add>Mail A. Put whatever for the display name B. In the email address field: [EMAIL PROTECTED] C. Enter "localhost" (without the quotation marks) in incoming and outgoing servers. D. Enter in a username and password that you configured James with. Add "@localhost" after the account name Use standard ports, default settings, etc. Now try to send an email via Outlook Express. Outlook should be sending an email through the loopback address back to the James Server. If James receives the message, then your network is the problem. If it doesn't, then the James install is messed up. Send an email back after you've figured out which one and we'll work from there.
