Hi:

I have reviewed the Quickstart document that you have posted at:

http://wiki.apache.org/james/JamesQuickstart
and have some questions

A. In item 12 I log into the mail server's SMTP port and send email as a
user from some other domain. Since it does not ask for any password (i am
sending it as a user from yahoo.com) etc. potentially I could be sending
email impersonating as somebody else. Isn't this a security breach?

B. We have set it to receive email and pop services like yahoo, outlook can
receive email. Outlook can also be configured to reply or send as a user in
the domain host. This is good.

C. If we follow steps in 12 (telnet to SMTP host) and send an email from the
test user to an outside account, then the address of the sender is listed as
"unknown sender". Is there additional markings that we should add in the
remote admin when I add users to the system.

Best Regards.
