Nothing out of the ordinary, and I'd post up if I hadn't just solved the
problem. *sigh*

My inbox table in MySQL was wonky. I went to optimize her, and I got a whole
slew of error messages. So, I went on to try to repair the table, and it
failed out with the same messages and became completely inaccessible. There
wasn't enough memory available on that system for the repair process, and I
was getting cranky with people for not checking their email often enough (I
had 6500 messages, and a few of my more annoying users were holding nearly
1000 messages on the server!) so I just cleared the table, rebooted, and I'm
back in business! (I assume that the corruption (?) present in the table was
responsible to preventing some but not all inserts of new messages, but
since there were no error messages and I still haven't had that extra week
of time to dig into James internals it's nothing more than a weak guess.)

I figure that I need to toss some additional memory into the server, and
just keep an eye open for any signs of similar situations. That is, until I
either have enough time away from my normal duties to try and take proper
care of the mail server or until we hire someone to worry about these things
in my stead. :)

Thanks for your consideration!
