Hi Chad,

this problem is not related to the WARN you see in the logs.

If I understand correctly this problem is related to our POP3 implementation not applying an exclusive locking of the pop folder while a POP session is opened (BUG).

As a workaround you should change your email client configuration to check mail only for 1 of the three accounts (Most clients have this option).

OK, I came across this message in the log file because I have some idiosyncratic behaviour I'm trying to track down. Here goes:

I have three accounts that access the same mail account, ie:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

In my email client, this means I actually pop the server three times on what is essentially the same account. That's OK, I can deal with that (yes I know I should name the accounts differently, but as I am the only user with this problem, I'm not going to worry about it for now). So what is now happening is that when popping the server, the client succeeds on two of the three accounts, but throws an exception on the other. For instance, in the example above, it would succeed on the pop of

[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

but fail on the pop of

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Which of course is funny because they are in fact all popping the same account. So this is the behaviour that led me to check the log which led to the discovery of the 'file in the way' message, which I now see might now have anything to do with my actual problem.

Sorry if this is misleading or confusing.

Regards, Chad
