Hi all,
Some hints from my own upgrading experience (from
2.2.0 to 2.3.0). Sorry, couldn't figure out which Wiki
page and how to update.
Move the objectstore
====================
This should be objectstorage instead.
Add SSL to server-sockets
=========================
To be able to use SSL you need to add this SSL config
to the <server-sockets> block. This configuration is
the same as James 2.2.0 except for two additional
tags:
i. The extra parent tag <ssl-factory> for <keystore>.
ii. The extra tag <key-password> from James 2.2.0. Set
its value to the same one as the <password> tag if you
are not sure what it is.
assembly.xml
============
If you have customized your assembly.xml in James
2.2.0 such as adding your own server blocks e.g.
pop3sserver or smtpsserver, youll need to migrate
your changes.
The fastest and safest way for me to upgrade
assembly.xml was to re-do the customization i.e. made
a copy of the pop3server and smtpserver blocks and
renamed them to pop3sserver and smtpsserver
respectively.
environment.xml
===============
Overwriting with my 2.2 config worked!
phoenix.sh
==========
I manually edited some customized environments in the
new phoenix.sh e.g. JAVA_HOME and PHOENIX_JVM_OPTS.
HTH,
Al
