Probably this is the case because I had 11 files there all received at
the same time. Is it possible that we have lost these emails or james
should have returned an error to the remote servers and they should try
to send them again?
Well, you stopped James in a cold way. So simply James Server stopped
responding to the client. The client never received the "message
received" reply from the server so it knows the message has not be
delivered: whether to try to resend or bounce is up to the client to be
decided.
